MFrac-Lite is a three-dimensional
hydraulic fracturing simulator similar to MFrac but with a smaller feature set. MFrac-Lite provides ease of use by restricting the
available simulation options and requiring less input data than MFrac.
MFrac-Lite uses the same numerical
routines as MFrac, has the same real-time
capabilities as MFrac, and is designed to
be compatible with MFrac. This simulator
is designed for those who do not need the full functionality of MFrac. The following table illustrates the
differences between MFrac and MFrac-Lite:

MFrac-Lite can open
MFrac files, and vice versa. When opening
an MFrac file with
MFrac-Lite, the file will be processed
to produce a compatible three-layer single zone fracture
MFrac-Lite file.
